Summit in the Korean Alps

In the Olympic village of Pyeongchang, in the “Korean Alps”, 500 mission leaders from 80 countries gathered under the banner of “One Billion Souls Harvest”. The aim of the meeting? To build partnerships and develop strategies to reach 1 billion people with the transforming power of the Good News, by 2033. Story by Olivier Fleury.

I'm continuing on to the final leg of this Asian tour, after an intense week of conferences as part of the Lausanne Movement (see article). From September 29 to October 2, I'm taking part in a meeting organized by One Billion Soul Harvest (OBSH), a missions network with the dream of reaching 1 billion unconverted people by 2033. I was invited to speak about JC2033, because the OBSH movement wants to spread the vision throughout their networks. In our dna of witness and unity, we're linking up with One Billion Soul Harvest so that by 2033, everyone will know that Jesus has risen.

Visionary oncologist Dr. James Hwang has been entrusted with this burden. He invests his resources with unparalleled generosity. During these four days, the goal of the year 2033 is addressed by virtually every speaker. As a result, the JC2033 stand is besieged at every break and meal. Fortunately, several JC2033 Ambassadors from India, Nepal and Pakistan came to assist me in sharing the vision with participants interested and enthusiastic about the idea of 2000 years of resurrection.

Several participants want to become JC2033 Ambassadors in their networks. Many would like to come to the JC2033 World Meeting in Geneva in February 2025.

At the end of this meeting, I leave with the certainty that

  • the enthusiasm for 2033 is palpable,

  • the desire to advance the gospel is a given,

  • 2033 is a given!

Let's pray and work to multiply our resources so that we can accompany this surge in the body of Christ and bring the Good News to this world in perdition.
