Joy and gratitude were the mood on the course of this first “Course de la Cathé”. A surge of faith and the prospect of inviting JC2033 ambassadors from underprivileged countries to Switzerland motivated the troops.

The resurrection of Jesus, and the 2000 years of this historical event, is a crazy notion. But should it at least be a memorial for ALL?

On September 19, less than a week after visiting Istanbul to meet Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople (the city's former name), I was granted an audience with Pope Francis in Rome. Reformed pastors Michel Kocher and I represented JC2033, taking part in the “Easter together 2025” initiative.

Istanbul, September 14, 2024. A delegation from various movements taking part in the “Easter Together 2025” initiative was received by Patriarch Bartholomew. What unites the Focolare, Ensemble pour l'Europe, the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy and JC2033 is the desire to bear witness to the same faith in the Risen Christ, on the common date of Easter 2025.

On August 31, the “United Beyond Borders” meeting marked a new stage for JC2033 with the official launch of the “Risen! Here we are!”

From September 9 - 11, 2024, the staff of JC2033 International held their annual retreat at the Taizé Community in Burgundy. They were welcomed by its prior, Brother Matthew, who encouraged them to move forward with faith on the road to 2033.

JC2033 is taking part in the “Pasqua Together 2025” (Easter together 2025) initiative, inviting people to mark the year when the date of Easter is common to all Christians. This is an important step toward the Jubilee of 2000 years since the resurrection of Jesus Christ is in 2033. During a visit to Jerusalem at Easter this year, I was able to meet the local players in this initiative, after walking the Emmaus Way with some fifty young people.
